Processing and verifying raw data in any format - AS A SERVICE!
We have a data processing team, they work with data from Oil and Gas, Utilities and our simulator department.
They are used to processing and verifying raw data in any format (paper, pictures, electronic files etc) and inputting it into any system of choice.
Our personnel are highly skilled and from a technical background in asset integrity.
We successfully use this as an internal resource but recently some of our clients have been using our data processing services on various different projects.
Could you benefit from this service? I would be happy to meet with you and discuss any particular requirements.
An example of this is “to Integrate historical Subsurface and Well data into one searchable database so it can be accessed by various disciplines for offset reviews”

PODOMS
Prevention of dropped object management system
The identification and mitigation of hazards posed by dropped objects is one of the key remaining safety issues within the oil industry
As leaders in the development of safety management systems for the oil industry, Pisys have developed a full-featured, robust and easy to use system which is currently in use on assets across the UKCS
PODOMS helps to prevent dropped objects anywhere a risk exists
PODOMS tracks inspections, stores photos and documentation and raises and manages actions relating to potential hazards
PODOMS increases the visibility of risks by centralizing data in an easy to understand format
Location maps specific to your asset allow a quick overview of high risk areas
PODOMS presents large volumes of data in an easily understood format – it helps to ensure that hazards are identified and managed quickly and safely
The system is web based – hosted at our secure data centre or at your own site

Scottish software company Pisys is helping companies operating in the global oil and gas industry reduce the risk of workplace injuries and improve their performance with a new web-based software solution.
Dropped objects at onshore and offshore facilities can result in lost time incidents, injuries and, in extreme cases, fatalities.
The Prevention of Dropped Objects Management System (PODOMS) was designed specifically to cut the risk of this type of incident by streamlining equipment storage and inspection practices via an easy to use online application.
Offshore oil and gas operator Talisman Energy (UK) Limited approached Aberdeen-based Pisys looking for a software package to help support their Stop Drop initiative which aims to help prevent dropped objects at all Talisman operated sites.
PODOMS records the results from regular inspections of secured tools and equipment as well as any ad hoc observations before producing a portfolio of items for further inspection within a managed area of a site. The portfolio includes images and location maps highlighting rope access areas.
The software produces an action list for corrective measures resulting from the inspection or other observations. These actions can then be tracked and closed out within a set time period.
Talisman is currently deploying PODOMS from its servers to over a dozen assets in the North Sea.
Pisys Managing Director Peter Henderson said, “This software is a new offering for the oil and gas industry designed to take the strain out of managing dropped objects on sites of any size where the heath and safety of workers is paramount.
“Pisys has nearly 20 years' experience in providing bespoke products to the international oil and gas industry. Much of our expertise has been honed developing solutions for operators in the North Sea and we pride ourselves in listening to our customers and developing innovative solutions to their business health and safety needs.”

Multipurpose training simulator
Classroom "Chalk and Talk" training can offer a reasonable level of trianing.
Live system training can be too much of a risk.
With this in mind Psys have developed a multi purpose training simulator.
The main site can be found at http://www.pisystrainingsimulators.com
It can simulate any control room but here are some of the uses we have developed it for so far:-
Marine operations
Power stations
Terminals
Environmental Emergencies
Catenary handling
Major emergency management
This Movie lets you see the fully immersive simulator (Oil rig equivalent of a flight simulator) but we also produce classroom semi-portable and portable simulators
This is the typical layout of a classroom semi portable simulator:-
Training Center:-
Our software and hardware has been used to fit out the Qatar International Safety Center
We have fully immersive simulators in Brazil and the UK, please contact me if you want any more information.
If you have a control room - We can simulate it!

Pisys and the Digital pen
Pisys are a software development company with a vast experience in the oil & Gas and marine industry.
We are working with many companies to help relive the administration burden on technical/manual labour staff. This also provides efficient methods for the administration of job planning, reporting and invoicing for office based staff.
We use a combination of software and a digital pen and paper solutions to achieve this.
We are have combined our Digital pen and Paper knowledge with our Oil and gas industry knowledge and are now wanting to talk with companies about possible uses for Digital pen and paper.
An example –
One of our clients have a lot of offsite jobs, previously at the end of a job, a sheet was filled out.
At the end of the week the administration department would receive up to 2000 sheets to process.
Invoices from each job were taking 10 days on average to be sent out.
Using Digital pen and paper, Pisys developed a system to deliver the job sheet back to the administration department the minute it had been completed !
Invoices are now going out very soon after the job is complete. (1-3 days) Also lost job sheets are almost a thing of the past!
We would like to share our experiences with you so why not get in touch - bruce.skinner@pisys.co.uk +44 (0) 1224338435
Digital pen and Paper
"If only I could get my hand written notes straight into our IT system?"
Maybe carry PDA or a laptop where ever I go and get rid of my note pad, job sheets, report sheets etc..... Or Get a Digital pen and Paper solution????
What is that I hear you ask.
In short - Digital pen and Paper technology optimises the basic yet essential process of managing handwritten Business forms.
Pictures and movies always help to explain what I am going on about so have a look below

At Pisys we work with digital pen and paper on many different projects. I you are interested, please get in touch - bruce.skinner@pisys.co.uk
